THE PUPPY LANGUAGE SUMMATION
The children are playing with their puppy and wonder what their puppy is thinking. The puppy seems to know what they are thinking all the time, even though the puppy could not talk. Somehow the puppy knows who is friendly, and who is not friendly. Above all, the puppy always wanted to be wherever they were, even try to do the same things they were doing. All of the children thought their puppy was really smart. The puppy seemed to know his name and to come when he was called. Sometimes when the children said things to the puppy, how they said it seemed like it was more important, than what they said to their puppy. This is a study of learned and natural behaviors.
THE STORY LAYERS SUMMATION
Three children love to hear stories from Jimmy’s grandfather. This time Opa chooses a story about an ancestor who was the great-grandson of an English Lord. That ancestor was a Captain in the American Revolution. He married a Native American maiden. It is a story within a story. It includes family pictures and details of their Native American customs. The story tells of a family living in the wilderness on the frontier, just after the American Revolution. The children get a chance to learn a little about archeology and Native American crafts and culture.
